The last few weeks i've been bumping from wall to wall, updating my graphics software year after year, taking a big bite out of my budget, finding out that almost every developer will or is using AI to do most things, thus banning and discriminating model/adult shooters...
What's happening? Those software, named here ON1 or Luminar Neo to name a few, replaced 'generative content fill' or the 'crop/content aware' tools by AI models, what in the second place is giving much worse results, but in the first place the AI scans the picture (Say, I have a picture of a model on a carpet, I want to crop this but need a fill on the side because a:the floor is visible or b:the crop goes outside the canvas for example..) but instead of filling in the requested object the AI detects (why?) a woman, girl, model, does not need to be nude, and refuses to continue because 'it may offend the users' 'Looks like the generated content is inappropriate.' (yes, the carpet I asked to fill in ???)... Say what? What users? I'm the only one seeing that picture (or not ?) and only I decide who sees that, I'm not showing it to minors for example, why is the software deciding this in my place???
So as updates will follow, computers will change, in some years I would have no software to edit my pictures in a doable way, I got my response from a software developer today, almost saying ' stop shooting models, go shooting landscapes...' ..
What are your thoughts on this, I stop paying for hypocrisy, model shooting was there from the beginning of photography .....
Anybody knows software that can use content aware fill when doing a crop (outside the canvas) ?
BTW so many AI developers use AI for doing nudes, even fake ones, bet they don't use Luminar or ON1 for that .....
