Sucky Fucky 1000 Dollar - Turning Pro

Recently I tried to change up my workflow and style into a more story telling narrative type of production.

This caught the attention of a US based porn firm and we are going forwards with both a franchise deal on some of our old work and new deal on future publications.

This means I now have the proper budget to fund higher value productions, as directed by those paying the piper. So we can look at things properly like in the old days, starting with Styling, MUA, Location and of course performers. 

So it comes as little surprise that fees are in line with what is being paid in the US and the top line for a female lead is about 800 quid per scene.

As it happens the producer fee is pretty much what I'd expect to get back from a  movie eventually any way. The difference it's not 'trickle back', and it's without editing of a movie. So I can shoot 2 scenes or several in a few days.

This was my summer mission any ways, the problem with ManyVids and Clips4Sale is that it's very hard to break a certain price point, and go beyond making a decent living to making decent money.

The answer to that was shooting Euro porn stars for a Euro market, and of course that probably is still the solution. But now it's with a US company already on board.

Now Prague and Budapest seem fine destinations, but to get there I'll travel the length of the UK, Holland, and Germany. Potentially also places where valuable performers may be.

(1) The question is, are they just fly over countries, hostile to porn production, expensive, unreliable, difficult, with a small handful of performers who's value increases along with the list of pre conditions.  

So at the risk of 'self responding', is it better to save my sponsors Dollars for the 2 countries that actually welcome porn production, and facilitate every part of it in exchange for Euro's.

(2) But it's not entirely rhetoric, there's another question. Your probably not aware, I wasn't until recently while trying to work out the news', that were in a deliberately selfish world. Not just as competitors, but in everything, it seems people are easier to control and manipulate that way. You know, war, covid, austerity all that kind of bull shit. But a creative world should not be so self-centric, I have no rival really, just other people doing their thing.  So does anyone else want to come along and be part of it all. Or more like share resources and benefit from co-operation.

Unity is strength.
