Fake Profiles

I reported a fake profile last week, "Katie", in addition to the ones @sdp_productions had recently reported.  The profile was very quickly put under review and then deleted - thank you @james.  I also posted a thread to alert the hundreds of members that had been duped.  Within 12 hours of joining, 164 of you were following him and he'd responded to 45% of your messages!  All because he was offering BJs and HJs.  If you're a genuine photographer or similar please do your due diligence checks!  Even AFs own image checker showed that the images were years old and taken from various escort, modelling, online shop and social media sites.  Unfortunately the thread was deleted as I linked the profile.

Today I have reported another.  Joined 3 days ago, 484 of you are following him, and he has a 77% message response rate - happy to shoot POV of course.  This one is even giving a mobile phone number out.  Anyone booked a shoot?  The profile purports to be a fairly well known OF model who has confirmed that the profile on here is nothing to do with her.     

I encounter many fake profiles on here and it compromises the integrity of the site.  There could be all kinds of reasons why someone would do it.  I suspect many are men trying to access member-only images.  Those that are collecting phone numbers are more concerning.  What do all these replies to message that they're responding to say?  Why would someone waste their time doing this?  Are they asking for up front payments?

I have said this before, but there are profiles who view my profile every day.  People who have been on here years, have 0% response rate and no feedback.  I even have a make up artist with zero feedback check my profile almost daily.

Hopefully this thread will stay, because my question is: what can we all do about the fake profiles?   I appreciate this is a business but keeping people safe has to be paramount and we should all play a part where possible.  What about having a group of volunteers to weed out the fakes?  Any other suggestions?
