Ok, here's my situation. Last year my wife wanted a separation because she wanted to be with a woman. 😢. Obviously this left my life in tatters and went through some serious issues with depression. Not only that but I've always wanted kids, but at 49 yo the time is almost ran out as I know even if I meet someone tomorrow, there is more chance they will not want any - but I digress there.

Anyway, I have lost interest in much of my interests that I used to enjoy and have a passion for and find things a struggle. I've tried to restart my photography with models and managed a few shoots, but I find I have really no passion for it anymore and only doing it for fun, which it should not be based on.

The wife has finally got her only place and will be moving out shortly, and the fact I'm now going to be living in a three bedroomed council house on my own does not fill me with joy and is reigniting the depression issues, as is (strangely enough) her moving out.

I have thought that I could turn one of the bedrooms into a photo studio, but what's the point if I'm questioning my interests and could end up just giving up completely on shooting.

My question to those of you out that have been through a marriage breakup is, should I continue with my photography if it is no longer a passion and just using it as an excuse for fun just to keep me going.???  How did you deal with this yourselves and what advice can you give.

Ross
