I'm really hoping that both models and photographers will contribute to this discussion, which is intended to build on other threads that have been looking at adult castings on a TFP basis and model rates.
I've noticed that quite a few photographers on here will offer copies of photos to models even if it's a paid shoot. Indeed I have done so myself on other sites because, although I get some (fairly limited) income from photography, my work with models is just for fun and to continue to develop my skills. However, I accept that I'm fortunate in that I don't depend on income from photography, whereas most models and many photographers do.
My question is therefore what do models and photographers consider to be a reasonable accommodation when a shoot is being arranged on a part paid/part TFP basis? Just to set the ball rolling, if I'm shooting a model for portfolio development, my normal charge would be £50 for an hour's shoot and the supply of 20 edited images within an agreed time frame (usually a week). So if I agree to supply 20 edited photos to a model after a shoot, I would be happy if she were to reduce her normal fee by £50 in return for the images. An example might be a 4 hour adult shoot for which the model would normally charge £400 being reduced to £350 in exchange for 20 images.
What do others think?
