My tender ego has been affected by a discrepancy I have noticed.

It seems to me that models are getting much greater feedback (so-called "Likes") to their photos than photographers. I have been able to ascertain this with a couple of shoots I did with UK models. I gave them some photos for their own use, and they posted them in their portfolio. Very nice and flattering; I am happy.

But the same photos posted in my portfolio generate barely 1/3 the level of positive feedback. Compare the following:

I could give more examples, but the discrepancy remains. It seems that models get much more feedback, and consequently their portfolio much more "views", than photographers. This seems a shame, as I am sure photographers work just as hard to create their own vision of photography.

I am certainly doing my best to create visually interesting work.  Feedback is part of my "meter" to ascertain my success.

Any comments on this?

Nicolas
