I was going to call it 'Wankers Block' because to me it manifests as the same thing, and I suffer terribly from it. Or even Story Boarders block, I have no shortage of plain paper and even downloaded a story board app, it didn't help. Neither did the writers app. The problem I have isn't visualisation or interoperating that in to 'blocking diagrams' and scene edits. It's more like a stuck record just playing on bit of an imagined piece over and over without moving on.

I watched the Elton John movie recently and he suffered from it too, partnering with a writer made him what he is. So I thought it might be worth a try, I'm considering buying @elle_x ebook and looking there for inspiration. But it's not exactly inspiration I lack it's more like vision to carry a story forwards, or even backwards.

Now you might think in kinky fetish porn that doesn't really matter, girl wanders around in wellies, has a pee, gets fucked. Takes 2 hours to film, makes about an hour of content, edited down to 40 mins to make it watchable in 4K, with a 2 min pee movie, job done...But there could be more efficient and interesting ways to work, after all I have the rest of my life to make movies in.

now people would buy that wellie pee outdoor movie, because they like the fetish, or the girl, or outdoors pretty scenes. But if there was a valid story that was interesting in its self, then there would be a new hook to not only sell the story on, but serialise it and expand on it, develop characters from and find talent, costumes, locations and all of that that in essence would in fact be a movie with fetish porn.

I have considered things like following  Milo Manara or the 'Sroy of O', but something very British would be easier to visualise, like I say I can imagine and illustrate an intense scene, but find it very hard to move forwards with it...but someone else might be very good at telling a story, or making a script from it...there's another thing, most of my movies are silent I really can't think of any thing to say, before or during the filming, but after I can think of plenty.

Any way food for though if someone has enough time on their hands to help create I'd be happy to hear from them, and naturally credit them, maybe even give them a commission.
